HLS TaxHelp provides low-income individuals and families in Boston and Cambridge with free, confidential tax assistance in preparing state and federal tax returns. Volunteers receive all the necessary training in a one-day session early in the spring semester and through IRS training materials. We use a user-friendly computer program called TaxWise that fills out the forms automatically, and we e-file most returns on-site.
